Great anvil for the price.
I haven_ used this anvil as of yet, so I_l only comment on it's appearance in regards to my expectations. Overall, it_ pretty much what I was hoping to get. It_ a forged steel 66lb anvil, and after smashing a few cans on it and hammering some copper wire flat, it shows no deformation so it seems pretty stout. The casting seems solid, although this anvil is rough in spots, particularly around the edges. The horn is actually 2 pieces, welded to the rest of the anvil. This came as a bit of a surprise, and I hope it holds up. I_l need to take a grinder to the horn to smooth some spots out. That aside, I_ glad I could find a decent anvil at this price. Adam Lipinski

As advertised!
I purchased this for my 13-year-old son who is a budding blacksmith. It arrived as described and on time. He/we could not be happier.

Good for it's size.
If you're serious about black smithing... Get something like 200 pounds plus. If you need a hard surface to smash something on, this works.

Great starter, hit it hot.
Great starter. I've hammered mild steel, 1095, and rebar all over this thing and it has held up perfectly well.

Best anvil for half the price.
Very nice to forge on this 67.8lb anvil, I smoothed out the horn and rough spots and it is perfect, the face is very hard. For best result install it on a big wood block at the height of your knuckles.

Best cheap anvil I've seen, but of course you get what you pay for
Very good for the price.Rings like an angel, actual hardened steel face.I've been searching for a cheap anvil that isn't a piece of junk for a while now and this one fits the bill!I will eventually want a bigger, better anvil, but this is great for at home while my blacksmith shop is closed.Arrived almost a month earlier than they said it would too!

Diffinatly a good starter anvil
Diffinatly a good starter anvil, the face is hardened 54 hrc or so and it seems to be cast steel not cast iron which was defiantly a plus, it sings like an angel and has great rebound. Not a big fan on where the pritchel hole is, but it will do the job. It also did not come in blue it was black which I liked better anyway.

awesome product!!!!!!
Awesome product! ! I was at first concerned about this anvil because of the low price typically you get what you pay for. Not this time the anvil is large enough to forge swords and plenty enough weight and room to do just about any job a $500-$2000 anvil can do. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. And I received it in 6 days much earlier than the posted date. Yes it rings like a bell with only a tap.
