Great product and great price. Just the right length and thickness for the cross slide on my 250 size lathe. Also came with a serial to serial adapter of you need to extend the length of your cable to the DRO.

I use these scales on my RF30, the build quality and accurate seem excellent. all metal construction and cable protection, and they even include inline DB9 serial converters to convert the logic output depending on the protocol your DRO talks

Mounting this equipment onto a Pinnacle Verticle milling machine took some time as only the rear of the table was a plumb & flat surface. Took a bit of imagination to work out heavy duty covers to stop heavy objects from damaging the dust covers, scales and read heads. Now to become familiar with the various functions : )

Not really suited to the y axis on my mill due to mounting constraints. I have it fitted and use it but a rotary encoder really should be used

This is a very easy to use DRO. It’s just a pity all the mounting brackets for the readout don’t fit and for some reason all these budget DRO’s always come with the wrong size scale mounting bolts. Apart from the hardware issues, these DRO’s are good value for money.
