This is our first laser cutter so our comments are based on no experience with any other. The machine arrived in a timely manner, very well packed in a timber crate and undamaged. Once unpacked and set up it worked from the start with no equipment problems apparent. We have been using it for 2 weeks now, a process that has been, an continues to be a learning experience. The manuals provided are of limited use, but great help and support is available on line through YouTube and Facebook user groups. The more we learn, with the help of these resources, the better the results we are acheiving. Perhaps one day this will allow us to invest in a more capable machine if necessary.

Not bad. For the price, it's more than I expected. It's quite capable, however there are a few considerations not mentioned on the sale page. 1. The air assist is not connected. It comes with nozzle & aquarium pump only. There is no ability to control this from the controller. No inline valve and no controlled power for the pump. You need to purchase a 240V controller and manually connect that to the controller yourself so budget for that. 2. The lines run internally are held with double sided tape and will separate from the interior of the cabinet. The air line was kinked closed and the water cooling lines fell into the bed height drive chain and were cut by the gears, so budget for that. 3. The front & rear removable panels for burning larger material cannot be used. The focal point of the laser lines up with the steel frame for the guide rails, and the removable doors are UNDER this height, so anything you slide into the machine from these panels is at about 15-20mm BELOW the focal point. 4. The instructions supplied are for the older style red CO2 laser which has different features. E.G. The air assist IS NOT connected & supported in this model. The Coolant tank IS NOT supplied, nor built in with this model. The physical layout and operation of accessories IS DIFFERENT in this model. 5. The indicated shipping time is wildly inaccurate. add at least 2+ weeks to the shipping listed on the website. Mine was IN STOCK, and didn't ship capital city to capital city. I needed to contact the shipping company directly, Vevor provided no support with shipping. There are benefits. The Ruida controller DOES work with lightburn with some additional configuration. The machine IS solid, and did essentially function out of the box with some intervention. If you get this machine, expect to get what you pay for since it's less than half of the nearest brand name, but you will need to spend additional money, and you will need to have previous laser & electrical/electronic hookup experience if you want air assist.
