Was just wondering with batteries (I don't know much about electrics) does the current have to be the same or what batteries do you recommend (Preferably rechargeable Li-ion)

The working voltage is 48V~54V. The capacity is more than 12Ah, the larger the better. Lead acid battery is preferred, and lithium battery is also acceptable.

The system defaults to 100% high speed. In the three-speed plug-in, the short connection between blue and black is medium speed 70%, and the short connection between yellow and black is low speed 50%. If you need medium speed and low speed, you only need to configure a switch.

What it the plug marked "indicator light black/orange used for?

It can display battery power, but you need to purchase a two-wire 48V power display meter and connect it to the indicator light interface. It can also be used as a 48V output to power the headlights, just connect a switch in the middle.
