Im presuing it has inlet and outlet hoses and if so, what diameter and how long are they? Could i poke them through a gap in canvas or do they need to be secured?

What is the maximum length for the exhaust pipe? I am fitting on a boat and looking like it will be a 6m length from the heater. It will need a 30 cm loop to stop water and a 1 meter rise above the water line, to run from the engine room to overboard.
