Where does the air inlet and exhaust line connect to the unit, does it need a hole in the floor

Does the Plateau module provide the automatic altitude adjustment? Is the non Plateau module an old version that doesn't have altitude adjustment? Don't know which to choose.

How long would it run on a fully charged 12v battery? would it be possible to run off a 12v solar panel? how much does it draw?
