Do I have to use rechargeable batteries in the main outdoor unit?
No, you can use 3 AA alkaline batteries in the outdoor sensor. The solar panel serves as a backup power source and directly powers the sensor in sunny conditions. It does not recharge the batteries.

Hello, what is the update rate for both the display and the app. Do they vary and how are the data points collected and the display frequency.
For example the JayCar model displays updates every 16 seconds but that an average of the last 8, 2 second data points.
Can you share how frequently the data is calculated and displayed?
Wind Calculations: Wind speed is averaged over each 12–16 second interval, while peak readings are displayed as gusts.
Mobile App: The console pushes updated data to the cloud/app every 1 to 5 minutes to optimize network performance, with real-time updates available upon manual refresh.

Console Display: The screen updates live every 12 to 16 seconds with each incoming data packet.
