The hitch is supplied with a 2-inch ball and a 2-5/16-inch ball — not a 2.5-inch ball.

Australia standard is for a 50mm ball . A 2 inch ball will usually have the hitch go on but very hard to get off again .So can this hitch be supplied with a 50 mm ball instead of the 2 inch one ?

Hello, 2 inches cannot replace 50 mm. The ball head diameter is different.
