This differs from different nameplates. For the Mps3K40A, it can connect 1kw solar panels, but only up to five and they need to be in parallel. For the Mps3K60A, it can connect 1500w solar panels, and you can connect 8 of them, 2 in series and 4 in parallel.
I recently bought this unit. I have 4x250w panels in series/parallel, open circuit of each panel max 37v, is it OK to run in series parallel 2x2 ? (I see about 70v in full sun)
