Doesn't seal very well, about 1/4 inch gap with flaps down. Good for garage or something probably. Mine came with a bent blade so it shakes a bit. For the price I guess it's hit or miss. Update: Now at least the vibration is being taken by the fan cage. They are pretty quite also to mention. Non variable speed.

The flap[s blow open with a slight breeze. we have had to tighten up the mechanism to make it stay closed unless turned on. Maybe a weak spring incorporated into the flap mechanism would make the product 100%

The 16 inch fan has good power for the size. You will need to supply your own power cord. It has a vibration almost like blade is out of balance but it's not terrible.
