Perfect for my new doggy who is a very tall,115 pound, Central Asian Shepherd dog. Super easy to install, I (41, female) did it myself following both the paper instructions and the video. It did help I was replacing a smaller one so some of the holes for the brackets were already there for me. The metal door cover for the flap is very heavy and I like that it has a lock. We had a Petsafe one before with the plastic cover and my cat was able to lift it up and get out. I like the weatherstripping on this one better too, I couldn't see any light coming thru which meant a good fit, the Petsafe one had a huge gap even with the additional stripping we bought. This one was also much cheaper. I was worried about quality but it seems to be really well made. My dog and 2 cats go in and out all day. The flap is heavy but they figured it out and yes there can be a space if it doesn't close correctly but they just go thru so much it doesn't really matter to us, we just softly kick it and it corrects itself or the animals going thru it does it. Installed July 1, no complaints so far.

The good: easy to install, mechanism works well for my dog, looks fine The bad: it doesn’t seal well. It’s fine for my house where temps are mild but our other house has very hot & cold weather. I tried additional weather stripping but the seal was still inadequate. I bought two but returned one since it couldn’t work for that one house. But I like it for the one location.

I love it and easy to assemble, keep the bug out and lets my dog out when she needs to go. She’s getting use to the flap that takes some time and training.

Easy to assemble and suits larger dogs. You do need a drill if but could get away without it if necessary. Better than similar products available from hardware stores. Great that it comes with sealing rubber to stop draughts.
