Yup. the blade is razor sharp, the slide action is smooth, and the cuts are precise. you might need to grease the slides more often, but for the money you can't beat this thing

Absolutely not! this machine is worth every penny i paid for it! one recommendation, buy the knife safe gloves. the blade is extremely sharp! if you are considering buying this.....do so you will not be sorry! avb ... one caveat ... cleanup is easy but a chore.

It's a meat slicer, it operates with a bit of a motor hum. if you are worried about whether it's noisy or not, you don't need one enough to buy it! am i waking the neighbors with it, no, unless i sneak into their house and slice some cold cuts in their bedroom, they won't notice.
