When installing the door opener how far from the door curtain to the unit must there be as i seemed to have gotten water from roller door inside unit
We recommend immediately disconnecting the power, removing the unit, opening the casing, and allowing the moisture inside the components to air dry, be dried with a dryer, or be dried in the sun. Once completely dry, reconnect the power and test to see if it is functioning normally.

This product is designed for indoor installation. Since it is not exposed to rain, only the outer casing has been treated with basic waterproofing; the gaps are not waterproof.
Water likely seeped in through the gap between the mounting bracket and the unit itself, and this has nothing to do with the installation distance. We recommend installing it on the interior side of the door.
