This thing is a tank! It motors through anything i've put it up against, and makes cutting rebar a simple task. I can't speak to it's longevity, but it would pay for itself in one good day of use.

In the past I've had to cut rebar with a sawzall. What an incredible pain that was. Happybuy has near effortless pumping action that works the piston. I made a couple dozen cuts in no time. The cutters still looked brand new after I was done. This tool worked great... And the price was good!!!

Saved time and didn't over work myself like I would with manual cutters.

I checked into cutting 1/2" rebar. I have a Makita 5" hand held grinder and could have just bought a cutting wheel. But I love hydraulic tools and didn't want to grind through hundreds of rebar sections for my current project. The Happybuy Hydraulic Rebar Cutter worked great! I was worried about the cutting bit breaking because of an earlier Amazon review, so I ordered spares. Haven't needed them yet, and just for fun I cut a hardened lock shackle and the cutter didn't even chip. The cutting process isn't fast...but it is way faster than bending. I'm satisfied that it was money well spent.

The cheap Chinese tin box it came in was not up to the challenge of being bounced halfway around the world and arrived somewhat bent with a blown corner. Nothing a little TLC with some basic sheet metal tools couldn’t fix. The tool itself, while obviously Chinese, acquitted itself admirably. I was able to make excellent crimps on #12 barrier hose and repair the air conditioning on my bus without having to face the nightmare of snaking 42 feet of #12 hose through the undercarriage jungle. Definitely worth the price! Would it stand up to years of daily use? Probably not, but for making up a few custom hoses from time to time I would highly recommend it. Another reviewer said the crimp was uneven. I applied a thin film of lubriplate to the back side of the dies to be sure they didn’t hang up and the resulting crimps looked every bit as good as the factory ones.

Thanks for sharing my number Amazon! We would have never had the chance to talk!I have used the cutter and it is great! It only failed on some small 1/8 thick chain. The cutting bits separated and the piece slips sideways. With the forces involved, I gave up trying to keep it from going sideways and used a grinder. On pieces larger than 1/8 inch, it cuts like butter!

Bought this to cut exclusively 1/2" rebar. It has plenty of power. I had some issues with one of the blades breaking but the seller was very helpful and resolved the issue with me quickly.
