Almost perfect
The top lifts off to clean and refill the machine. Since the silicone seal is excellent, it can be a little hard to lift off because the bottom tank is smooth and hard to grip. A handle on the bottom tank would make the task easier. I've well water loaded with minerals- so it's desirable to clean the tank every time it's refilled ( easily done with a ss scrub pad). However, it's even easier with some water left in the tank ( about 1-2 cm). An auto shutoff adjustment feature that would leave that much water in the tank would be appreciated. Now I judge thing by how much water is in the glass container and the drip rate.

We have been using this daily with no problems
Easy to use. We use it to make a gallon of distilled water each day which we use in our humidifier. Works great.

Great water distiller
This is a nice option if you need distilled water for a CPAP or other device. Distilled water has disappeared from grocery stores. This works well and think about all the plastic bottles you won’t be adding to the landfill. The handle on the carafe is a bit rickety. I definitely recommend it.

Even us Minnesotans can operate this machine.
I pour water in the area where it belongs and put the top on. In 4 to 6 hours I stagger over and clean the area where I put the water in. It's that easy and my coffee no longer has scum floating in it.

So far very pleased
Seems to be good quality. Stainless steel and Glass. Thus far have distilled 15 gallons without issue. Fan is noisy, but I learned to start when leaving the house. It is easy to use and easy to clean. (There is some ugly stull left behind after the device shuts off.) This unit has two parts that easily come apart for cleaning or filling the supply tank. My water still smells of chlorine after distillation. The water is crystal clear and tasteless. It works. would recommend. 1 gallon/4 hours. Adding trace minerals for better taste.

It's slower than I thought but delivers on distilled water
If you have a need for distilled water in a range of product in your home (steam cleaners, irons, cpap machines, etc) you're going to spend a small fortune on distilled water. The amount of minerals left over from my tap water is a little gross and disturbing but that's exactly what damages appliances. It takes mine about 4 hours to complete a gallon. Clean up is easy enough, but scrub the bottom every time to keep the scale build up to a minimum. It's quiet and so far has lived up to expectations. The return on investment seems to be about 50 or so gallons between electricity, descaler, and tap water at current market tap water prices.

Great Flexible Distiller!
I have been distilling water for drinking and cooking for about 3 years now. My husband’s kidney stones stopped about the same time. This isn’t surprising when you see the nasty residue left after distilling! I prefer the “two-button” machine as it allows the process to be stopped after a 20-minute clean with food grade citric acid. Resetting it is easy for the next cycle…no guesswork. I use a long silicon straw to attach to the spigot that drips to a pot (covered loosely with a lid) sitting in a sink. I pour the pot into a plastic pitcher and then into water dispensers in the kitchen for easy use or store in Aquatainers for future use. Eliminates boiling water as long as you have electricity!
