Furnace is good for the cost. Jeweler, gloves will likely fit my five year old grand daughter and the graphite mold is pretty much useless (it comes packed inside one of the gloves). Did need to purchase rigidizer separately, but I knew that ahead of te.
Top quality piece of equipment...................................................................................................................................
it all works great with one exception... Make your own set of pliers for grabbing the Crucible. The ones that come with it just grabs about 3/4" square of the side of the Crucible, which is not enough to safely when lifting the Crucible out of the furnace when loaded with molten metal. Make something that's circular that grabs the entire Crucible all the way around it's outside. Preferably with a set of handles on each side so 2 people can lift it out when the metal is liquid so you can have a firm grip on the Crucible. I sincerely doubt the Crucible will hold up very long with the pliers you get.
I recommend this to everyone I know interested in smelting, this tool comes with great instructions and is very well packaged. If your wants to smelt Brass, Cooper, Aluminum, Bronze your not going to have any issues with this.
This is my first one and so far it's been really fun and a learning experience for me. Aside from the propaner connector needing an adapter to fit to my 5ga tank there were no Issue.
i Have are a 10 kg and a 6 kg they are both very good 10 kg heat faster than 6 melted over 500 lbs of copper 50lbs of brass 50 lbs aluminum they are both still good kao wool in rough shape but still working cheaper to buy new smelter than to buy kao wool over all they are great for the price don't use the gloves that come with it they are good for weeding thistles
