My wife used to be a librarian and has built a library in part of our house. Lots of bookshelves, tons of books and a good place to sit and read. She wanted a book cart for all the new books she gets and hasn’t had time to file them yet (yes, she still uses a filing system and no, I’m not allowed to file any books). This cart looked like a good option, not too big but big enough to be useful. The book cart came with some minor damage. A couple of the ends of the shelves were bent so I had to straighten those out, the locking mechanism on one of the wheels was off the spring, and there were some scratches on one of the shelves. Nothing serious but you don’t expect damage. It doesn’t take too much to put the cart together but is easier with two people. It bolts together and becomes very solid. I’m not sure why they used the fasteners they did instead of just using standard nuts and bolts. These tend to stick out, might catch something, are silver against a black cart and overall look a little too industrial. But they work and hold the cart together. The wheels on the cart are very solid and smooth. I guess they should be for a cart full of books. They are big though and raise the cart up about 5 inches once you get them in. There is a lot of storage on the shelves, and they lean back a little, so books stay on them. Overall, a nice book cart, meant for more commercial/educational spaces than a home library but still works.
