The guide poles are not galvanized they are powder coated. They are sturdy enough though. The hardware is way to small. The U bolts are around 8 gauge. Plan on re drilling the brackets and purchasing more heavy duty U bolts.

It’s a very good product, very easy to install. I like the way the product felt holding it in my hand. Heavy and well-built. Also a good color. I would recommend this product.

Highly recommend the item for this use, works great for guiding the boat on the trailer but the lights are more of a fluff/puff aspect. The lights are solar powered and easily slide on/off the round pole, I haven't had a need for them yet but I believe they project light out in 360 degrees. They slide on/off the pole easily and could possibly blow off while pulling your boat to the lake and could be easily stolen if some one thought they liked them better than you do. I suppose you could glue them on to prevent loss. Anyway, the lights aren't why you would buy this item. I presume you need it to help guide your boat on the trailer and with that function it does an awesome job !!! We have a deck boat which was nearly impossible to line up on the trailer due to its size requiring multiple attempts each time, but with these guide posts, we usually hit it in ONE TRY. Highly recommend the item for this use, the lights are more of a fluff/puff aspect. We had to buy heavy duty U-Bolts/Nuts for mounting as the hardware provided sucks.

The posts are great , i really like the extra support . The hardware , different story , it's total crap , too small for the job .
