I used these to move equipment in the 8000-10,000 lbs range. The job was accomplished, so hard to complain, but there are three things that could be better or would be a better choice. First, these have urethane wheels and that made moving the equipment harder. This was a bad choice at my end to save some money, they do offer solid steel wheels and would be my recommendation. I suspect this added a couple hours to my move. Probably not a problem for equipment weighing less than 5000lbs or so, but really there is no goo reason not to just get the steel wheels in hind sight. Next, the ball bearings fall out from between the bottom and the rotating platform. Tighten the bolt on top right when you get it and use locktite. Finally, the nuts on the bolts running through the wheels are constantly comming loose during use. Either stake the nut to the threads or monitor these closely.

I’ll purchased these Skate dollies for my home hobby workshop. I use them for moving my mills and lathes around. They work great easy to use for just one person.

Quality, easy to use
Had to move my lathe and these made the job so much simpler than just using an engine lift and pushing it around with the lathe swinging. Simply lift it up enough to get these rollers in and then position the lathe exactly where you need it with minimal effort. Well worth the money for the added safety and ease.

Cross bar to connect the Skate Dolly's
These heavy machine Skate Dolly's are solidly made and roll very easily. 6 ton load for each is far higher than I need. My metal lathe only weighs 3 ton & the Milling machine 1.3 ton. However, moving them around on an uneven concrete floor is, to say the least, challenging. Because of an uneven floor the Skate Dolly's disengage, coming out from the under machine. The machine then slumps onto that lower corner, jambing its forward movement. Very frustrating and takes a lot of time and effort to jack it up and reposition the Skate Dolly. ( I have not yet seen a concrete floor that is perfectly level. ) ONE simple feature change would solve this problem and make them much easier to use. Instead of round tube at the front and rear of the Skate Dolly, a larger Rectangular section that can take a length of rectangular Tube so two Skate Dolly's connect to each other. This would hold them in the correct location under the machine as the floor varies, would be a great benefit. I will be modifying mine to do this. The Lathe & Mill will be moved around during repair as space is at a premium. Then later into larger shed. Thanks, Martin Falls

Did the job and would have rated higher but the dolly wasn't assembled tightly, and all the ball bearings came out into the box which had a small hole in 1 corner. Yes, it was missing a couple of bearings. Fortunately, I have 3 of this dolly so I could rob a couple of bearings from my previously purchased Dollys. I got the job done but I'm noticing packaging issues lately both from Damage containers and mis=counts of supplied parts. Your customer Service needs some help as when I call, they say their sorry repeatedly but want me to take photos, provide numbers from directions and parts lists that are horrible quality and illegible. Then say they can't help me till I jump through the hoops. I've worked in customer service positions for 50 yrs. plus have run my own business for 48 yrs. I highly recommend you keep in mind that customer service is not just an expense It's what keeps customers coming back ! Just my thoughts Dan D@S Performance and Custom Parts inc.

Mr.
Well made and seem capable of moving a bridgeport clone and heavy lathe. Have not used them yet and brought them for future use as the price was reasonable.

I used these to move refrigerator cases up to 5 doors long. They worked great for the last couple of feet after removing my rol-a-lifts. The only negative I have is that they can fall over at certain angles due to the casters.

Ok for the price.
Decent value if you’re on a tight budget. These will require some work to make them safe to use. The central shoulder screw is inadequate and the ring of loose ball bearings under the top plate needs some sort of dust seal.

I used these to move a huge 3t milling machine. They worked really well and I was quite impressed with them. I'm happy to recommend them. Postage was quick.
