Some of the pre drilled holes needed to be drilled out to work. Fit on the studs perfectly, everyone in the house uses it and loves it. Kids, adults and grandparents. Very useful.
Rail is very sturdy and well made; commercial duty, really. The finish is thick and seems very well applied. Might be powder-coated. The attachment points are heavy gauge metal disks each with three screw holes. When attached to studs, it is very strong.
I liked how sturdy this product was, how secure my mom feels when going down the steps. The only thing it is a heavy piece, be mindful if your wall can support. No complaints worth it!
Gave as gift to elderly couple. Less falls with this sturdy railing. Had to purchase longer connecting bolts but just be prepared when installing. Price just right but if increases then too much!
