The battery for the remote control to open and close the door is hard to buy; it didn't come with it. The setup times are also challenging to set up. No instructions come with it; you have to figure it out yourself. I bought this because I have geese. Otherwise, instead, I would buy the automatic chicken door.

I should have installed one of these doors long ago. We have lost so many chickens, ducks and turkeys over the years when collectively we forgot to close the coop door. I rest easier now knowing the door is reliable and the chickens are safe.

Got remotes with my sensor and wish when I want to use the remote I can. Wont over ride the light sensor. Otherwise do love it. Make things sweeter

Wow, we should have purchased this a long time ago. We were afraid regular coop doors would be too small for Lucy, our goose. Not this one, it’s perfect and plenty large enough. So easy to install as well! Thank you!

The automatic light sensor works great! My husband the only difficult part of installation was trying to figure out the instructions. He said they would have been better if they were more detailed.

Awesome door easy setup and install!!! Only dislike and not a deal breaker is door is not one piece it folds in half for shipping I assume. With safety sensor animals are definitely safe and will not get hurt from door closing. Highest recommendation to anyone needing this type of door. I last plus to solar technology folks this can be wired to any 12 volt dc system. So anyone who can't have 120 volt ac to door area an easy alternative is a battery with small solar charger.
