Works straight out of the box
This laser cutter worked straight out of the box. The mirrors were aligned and after the usual setup, cut and engraved perfectly. The RD Works software is great with Adobe Illustrator (plugin) or can be used on its own. The set-up of the Ruida controller takes a little while and it is worth watching a few Youtube videos first. The only needed improvement would be a power meter for the laser tube. Ideally these machines need to be run at 18mA to prolong the tube life. Delivery was a little difficult due the courier used (Hunter Express) but apart from that, everything 5 stars. Thanks VEVOR

Mr
Just started to learn and it seems a little complicated but i am starting to get my head around it. I changed my software from rdworks to lightburn which is much easier to deal with. The machine was easy to adjust but i changed my blower to a hydroponics blower which was much quieter.

80w laser Great buy very happy
Very happy with what l payed for it great value for money. Pictures in advertisement are old version the new unit has extra features not mentioned. Eg ethernet connection, laser cut off protection for lid open, connector for roller unit. Bed adjustment height uses motor not manual knob Size of unit is the measurement of the laser box hanging out the side not the whole unit for the 80w version. Needed a few adjustments on mirrors but expected that from shipment. Wiring all good.

Great unit - Minor quality issues.
Received one week after ordering. Very good packaging. All required parts included. No surprises, more or less exactly what I expected. I have only performed basic setup, no mirror alignment, and it cuts paper and cardboard easily. I haven't tried anything thicker yet, lacking proper cooling. Came with a Ruida RDC6442S-B (EC) controller. Trivial to configure with Lightburn. There was one poor-quality wire join inside the electronics enclosure. Just twisted together with electrical tape insulation, which had unwound. I have soldered and heat-shinked this join. There were a few other minor electrical termination issues, like spade connectors crimped onto insulation rather than conductor, and some terminations to a relay block using bare copper into the screw terminal and electrical tape insulation rather than an FC crimp, but these are the exception. Most of the terminations were with bootlace crimps and are well done. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for an 80W CO2 laser cutter in Australia.

Better than could be expected!
I was very nervous ordering this laser. The information in the pictures and descriptions varies wildly, and can be very contradictory. That's why I'm writing this review: to put your mind at ease! Firstly: the controller. You'll see a TopWisdom controller in the pictures and in the specifications, but in the description you'll read that it is a Ruida controller. Well, I took a chance, and was very pleased to find a Ruida controller on my unit, that works just as well as you could expect. I'm so confused as to why their listing shows different controllers, and all that I can surmise is that they have units with both controllers, and they're hedging their bets. That's a shame. I feel like I got my money's worth just by getting the better controller. You'll also confusingly read that the machine does not have Z-axis lifting. It does. It works well. Why does the ad say it doesn't? I don't know, and it can't help sales. My mirrors were perfectly aligned, and needed no adjustment. The crate was in perfect condition, as was the machine inside. I will never use the water pump or blower that came with the machine, as I've opted to install a water chiller and fume extractor. I'm sure those components are fine though. My pictures of the machine include mods I've made, including adding a Lightburn camera, and an ammeter. They don't come with the machine; don't expect them to come with yours. I am totally happy with the machine that I've received, and see no reason why you wouldn't be as well!

Pleasantly Surprised
The build quality & equipment in this machine is better than I expected. Came with ruida 6442 controller instead of the topwisdom & also had motorized lift table, good quality guide rails & stepper motors, which was all positive in my opinion. Shipping was within the specified time frame. Definitely recommend checking all connections & screws before first use because some did come a bit loose in transit. Overall I am quite happy with what I received for the price.

Usefully large and powerful at a good price!
For a laser with such a large working bed, and an 80w tube, this represents pretty good value. I found the recommended software (RDWorks8.0) supplied on a CD rather difficult to use, but Lightburn software is much more straightforward, has an active forum, and will join to the Ruida Controller via USB cable, if using a windows computer, but I couldn't get a connection using a Macintosh, although there is a Lightburn program for Mac. The only other comment is that the ventilation exit port in the cabinet is 140mm diameter, but the flexible hose (supplied in two generous lengths) is 150mm internal diameter. Some thick tape is needed to bridge the small gap, and ensure a good seal. The unit comes well packed in an enormous wooden crate, so be prepared with lots of helpers!
