For all the people who did not read the directions! In big black letters it says not to cut sweetpotatoes! They are to hard! I make fries from Russets and it works great on big large potatoes!One tip...I dont have the one with the long handle on it. I push down on the small handle and thenlift it up and take several hard downward motions with it. Push it up and down hard and it willmake great fries.... If you have skinny little wimpy arms...do not buy! So put your big boy pantson and it will work great.

Quick and easy assembly and the potatoes slide through the blade like butter on a hot knife.

I do normally write a ton of reviews but I felt necessary to write this review. I have purchased slicers, French fry cutters, as seen on TV gadgets, but I must say this is the BEST French fry slicer I have ever used. I was able to slice 10 lbs of potatoes in less than 5 minutes.

A++++++++++. Highly recommended.

Its also compact enough to fit in the pantry. I simply love it.

The clean-up was smooth and easy

It's a bit awkward that they used alternating screw types for the top and bottom piece instead of using thumb screws. Inconvenient but not a deal breaker. Blades are sharp, ran through a dozen potatoes in short order, with minimal effort. Was worried about the tower design and balance, but it's a solid, heavy piece. Came with multiple blades, including the 1/2 which in my opinion makes the best fries...worth the storage space.

I love everything about this product. I was able to prepare items for a party in a little of no time. I would definitely recommend this item.
