at $200 sale price there is nothing that even could come close to the value proposition this mag drill represented.. bits are HSS

Looks like it will get the job done have ordered bits to go with it love the fact that it comes with regular drill bit chuck

We actually bought this for our son for his birthday, but I was the first to use it. I had to drill a 26mm hole is some mild steel that was about 9.5mm thick. It drilled a beautifully clean hole in a little over 2 minutes. It was easy to use and not too heavy. I would have given this product 5-stars on "Features" except for two issues; 1) the so called safety strap is just a piece of rope. Really???, and 2) I would have preferred the lowest speed setting to be a bit slower (but that is just my preference). Overall, this is a great magnetic drill press and well worth the money. Our son loves it and has used it multiple times already.

My first reaction to the equipment is positive. I was surprised to find a drill chuck in with the anular cutters. I do not see that as part of the kit and had ordered a chuck separately. The chuck provided with the unit is maybe a 1/2" while the one I ordered was 5/8". The coolant line was not kinked on my unit. Also the anular cutters are ground to inch sizes. This was a bit disappointing for I ordered this unit after seeing a comment that the cutters were supplied in metric. Given I already had an imperial set the metrics would have been a nice addition to my set. However, I'm not complaining as the cutters appear to be well made. I am a bit disappointed that the wire from the control to the drill motor is about 3" short this preventing full travel of the drill head in the ways. While I don't plan on running the full length of the ways for various reasons, it is nice to have the ability for those rare situations. The unit was shipped with the power switches on, minor but always makes me wonder who is surprised when they plug it in for the first time. The magnet appears suitable but more testing will be needed. The manual seems to be written better than the comments note. However, it is still a bit rough to understand in one or two places. More to come at a later date after a bit of testing.

While this is not an expensive mag drill, it gets the job done great. The oiler can be a bit touchy, but with some practice, you should get it down. I end up keeping a oil mat under the drill when not in use, since the oiler tends to leak a little bit.

Bought this to drill holes on the noose neck trailer, so we could add lights. It did a hell of a job! we also use it in our semi truck shop and its put to the test. It's defiantly holding up..

I ordered this item specifically to drill a welding table top for precision fixture points. The drill was packaged well and arrived with everything you see in the picture. The shipping only took a few days and tracking was provided. I assembled the item using common sense because the manual was not formatted in a manner that could be read. There were English words but it was not possible to read. I proceeded to drill a over hundred holes in 1/4 in plate steel with no issue. The drill has plenty of power and internal cooling fan kept the drill nice and cool. There was no discernable runout of the chuck and quality of the holes was amazing. Now that I have this drill I can envision many more uses for it where I want drill press quality but need a portable drill. This drill will go anywhere a steel plate can be clamped. Overall this item is 5 stars by delivering a capable tool at 20% the cost of a comparable "pro level" tools. This is well suited for DIY mechanics, metal hobby shops, and professional homeowners.

No reverse and very limited space to raise the drill bit but a great machine

This drill works great. I drilled through my semi frame in about 15 seconds. It works great. I didn’t have to spend allot of money, and far exceeded my expectations for sure.
