Note the \"Synthetic\" Part of This
The word \"synthetic\" can mean just about anything made by man and not naturally occurring. In this case, the \"synthetic\" appears to be simply a gazillion strands of plastic twisted together into a cable. It comes with sturdy hooks, and I tested it by connecting it to one vehicle and pulling another. It worked fine, but my concern, and why I withheld a star, is that I believe the synthetic material can be easily sliced, melted, worn, or otherwise compromised with regular use.

Replacement for the frayed steel line on my Smittybilt XRC
Steel line on my Smittybilt XRC 9500 was getting a little frayed. Saw this synthetic and meets all my expectations. Tons lighter and much easier to handle. Wrapped up fine, going up to some property next month and will be pulling some logs out of the way, will update this review if there are any problems or concerns; but so far this is a great price for synthetic with hook and protection on either ends. One note is that the end where you attach the drum is \"thicker\" than connector for the steel line. I had to replace the 6MM-1 with a little bit longer screw so be prepared for that (depends I suspect on your existing setup).

Easy to install, solid strong winch rope
I love this winch rope! It was easy to install and works great. I fully trust that it is the strength it claims. Time will tell as to its durability, though I personally don't use my winch all that often.

Great value synthetic winch rope for replacement
This is an easy upgrade to a cable winch or another synthetic rope that needs replacing. It looks great and is shipped such that its easy to install and unravel starting with the winch end first. I simply unspooled my original cable from the winch, removed the end of the rope from the winch spindle and re-attached the end of the new one. It comes with a nice orange cover on the recovery end for some protection and it includes a removable (at least with the 3/8 version) hook that you can upgrade if you want. This is a great way to upgrade your existing winch at a relatively low cost compared to other synthetic ropes. Synthetic rope is much easier to deal with than cable in a recovery situation. I have no issues recommending this winch rope.

Economical and lightweight
I haven't yet, but I will be replacing my current wire winch rope with this one for several reasons. Firstly because my metal one has a serous kink that I'm worried won't take the strain if I even need to use the full capacity of it. This one is supposed to handle 32K lbs. Second though, on a small jeep every 30 or 50 lbs counts. This spool is less than half the weight of my steel cable, so I'm lightening that load hanging off the front bumper that much more. So far, five stars! I will re-review when I attach it and actually try and use it.

Good for lighter duty too
I got this to use with my engine hoist, which I use to lift things like large dogs and fallen trees. The length of the rope gives me more options than the regular chains of my hoist, and, although I haven't tried it yet, it does seem to be well made. The rope is a bit stiff and thin, but it's all I need for my household, garage, and yard hoisting needs.

Winch rope
We are switching all of our tow chains to synthetic ropes so I figured I would give this one a try and it has not disappointed. We have only used it to Pull out a 4 wheeler so far but it did so with ease and rolled back up to the winch with no issues.

Great strength
This particular winch rope seems to have great strength. It's quite thick at 1/2 inch. Perfect for a supplement to an existing winch, that's how I'm using it. It's kept in the truck for those times when the installed winch rope doesn't quite reach the target. It comes with a massive hook permanently attached to one end (definitely a good feature). It's intended use is to install it on a winch that has no rope but us creative people will always find alternative uses. Recommended.
