I purchased this since I spilled coffee between the crack of my folding table. I do wish it was a matte finish for looks, but that’s a minor personal preference. This looks like it’ll prevent spills from going down the crack. I know they’ll still run off the table, but this should help reduce future problems. While using great caution over a period of time. I finally knocked over a cup of coffee. It spilled down this crack in my photo. It hit an electrical cord, but did not cause a short or anything. I was lucky, and I want to avoid any issue in the future. I could see these being great for kiddy holiday tables, or even family tables for get-togethers to prevent also such spills. The doily (with the salt shaker for size) was included. It seems water resistant, but it also could be put under the product. It’s still bubbled up in places, but I am certain it will flatten back out. It’s just from where it was in a roll from shipping. It is a thick material also.
