Used this motor to replace the burned up one on my IR 5 HP compressor. I had to use smaller bolts than what came off. Other than the bolts, it was a perfect replacement. They don't advertise, but in the instructions are the wiring changes to make motor turn opposite direction. Motor seems quieter than original. Interesting topic - I live in New Hampshire and once a year, we oil undercoat our vehicles. This is a day long process and the air compressor sees 95% duty cycle almost all day long. Last year the motor went out and tripped it's thermal fuse with \"warm\" smell. This year, with this new motor, no smell, no thermal overload.

The motor arrived in a well packed box, every angle was protected, no damage at all! I fitted it on a compressor and it does the job superbly! I'm extremely pleased with the electric motor!

Good price, runs OK. Casting a bit light weight especially the foot base. Had been dropped sometime before delivery and the fan housing needed panel beating so the fan would be able to rotate. One of the fan shroud lugs was broken off and needed to be glued beck on to secure the fan shroud. The fan is a slightly sloppy fit on the shaft and is light weight plastic, longevity is dubious. Instructions re direction reversal are clear and easy to follow. Overall though I'm happy with the purchase.

Works good for husky 80 gallon 3 cylinder compressor

I run my air compressors very hard for sandblasting, and I normally buy expensive motors and pumps. This one was much lower priced, so I was a little skeptical, but I’ve had it running about 2 months now, it doesn’t get many breaks, and it’s doing great. I’m actually going to buy another one now.

Seems to be a great little motor for the price! I run it with a small vfd and it works without a hitch.

Motor as described but came without a lead (something to be aware of) fortunately I hadn't thrown out the old motor so a bit of recycling fixed that one. There were problems with delivery I suppose that happens some times. Seems the item was overlooked in the depot once I raised concern it was received that day. All in all a good experience.
