I love this thing. Been wanting one for years but the price for the American made brands were very high. Saw this for $160 and immediately purchased it for a job that I had to lift many 300 lb. angles. Worked like a charm, almost too good. Was picking 2 up at a time when they were stacked.

Works great on 1/4 or thicker 4x8 sheets. Any thinner the sheet well flex and fall. It must be placed dead center. If it's on an angle it will drop it.

Overall, a great value. One concern is that we had two magnets purchased pull tested by third party. Magnets advertise a 2.5 safety factor, which would have a breakaway point of 2200lbs. One of the units tested achieved 1900lbs, the other was 1700lbs. Not a huge concern, as they both tested well above pulling capacity, but we will monitor as they are re-tested every year. Only other concern is lack of spare parts availability. We use magnets on daily basis, so components need to be replaced periodically.

Bought 2 of these to load steel on to plasma table, works great on thicker metal such as 1/4" to 3/4". Anything thinner in a 4x8 sheet flies too much
