Would an anti-freezing/gelling additive damage the heater at all?

I did use the additive a couple of times but it seem to work okay but i just went ahead and use number one diesel that seem to work really well

How does the plateau version work ? at what altitude will it work ?

Any altitude. it slows the fuel pump down, basically leans it out.
