We use it to separate our goat milk to make butter (or whipped cream) and to freeze dry the milk. This definitely has a lot of parts and takes using a few times to remember what goes where. Make sure to let it come to a complete stop before dismantling any parts (to prevent milk from spraying out the back). Tips for goat milk: 1. Pour a kettle of hot water through just before the milk to heat the unit 2. use older separated goat milk (3-4+days) 3. Heat the milk to 100* first.
